Show your reasoning
Tell us how you framed a problem, what alternatives you rejected and what evidence changed your mind. A small, well-understood project can reveal more than a long list of tools.
Imagine your work becoming part of the places people live in. A room responds thoughtfully. An engineer can trust the model. A problem is understood before a resident has to report it. Help us build that future.

We are interested in builders who can connect a difficult question to a working system. People who move comfortably between a specification, a prototype, an evaluation and the real-world consequence of a decision.
AI changes how much one person can build. It does not remove the need for judgement. Our engineering direction combines named ownership, agent-assisted work, explicit contracts and independent review. You should be able to explain both what you shipped and why someone should trust it.
A room-segmentation model becomes more useful when its output can survive an engineer’s correction. An edge release matters when its state can be reconciled after a network failure. A scene becomes intelligent when the person living with it can see and change the reasoning behind it.
These are the boundaries we want people to cross. You will need depth in your discipline and curiosity about the layer next to it. A good specification and an honest evaluation can be as valuable as the implementation itself.
Harness is part of our engineering environment: it connects product maps, specifications, repository context and review gates. The aim is to help people and their agents work from explicit context, with decisions that can be reviewed after the conversation ends.

Bring a failure, an awkward constraint or a result that did not support your first idea. We are interested in how you investigate and improve it.
What should become possible in a home or building that is not possible today? Connect that ambition to the first concrete step you would take here.
These are the disciplines we are building around. Scope, location and hiring timing are discussed individually; these pages are an invitation to a conversation.
Send a short introduction, a piece of work you are proud of and the problem you would like to take on. Research, engineering and unconventional paths are welcome.
